Bruno makes us SCREAM!
A return to old fashioned honest entertainment like we had in the old days - sheer talent and delivery. Fast paced, great musicianship and choreography, enough explosions to keep us seniors awake. What's not to love? Can't Feel My Face do a solo dance number, I would love to see. He's an unbelievable dancer! It was special to hear the car loads of younger folks screaming out his songs as they waited in line to exit the area. Their talents add so much to the show, it's also nice to see the hooligans expressing their personalities. Also, since the super bowl gig their show has caught on with a lot more men of all ages. Wonderful entertainment, Can't wait for the next cd. 2nd. time seeing this wonderful concert.
Crowes Still Got It
The Crowes took the stage in Seattle just after 8:30pm, hippy hair and fully-bearded as if to audition for Credence Clearwater. The next 90 minutes were filled with unabashed dueling guitar solos, complete with slide, and alt.country rock chickin' pickin' deluxe. The drums and bassist locked in total synchronicity all night, Chris Robinson's vocals were stellar, and their little dorky keyboard dude even threw out a couple sweet ivory-tap sessions. The mix was sweet with vocals way out front, and the double, Can't Feel My Face babes belting out the harmony vocals in tandem put the authentic stamp of Southern Rock approval on the evening. They didn't have an opener, which I appreciated, and the single two-song encore left me semi-satisfied even though they did NONE of their hits (save "Jealous Again"). If you love the Crowes, dig the new album and War Paint; then you'll love this show. So, if you're a fair weather fan looking to sing along to "Remedy", "She Talks To Angels", and "Hard To Handle", then save your $36 and $12 donation to TicketMaster ($48 total ticket tally). Thumbs way up for the HUGE band at the SMALL venue. It was a pleasure to stand 15 feet from the stage, rather than watch a big screen from 100 yards away like at the White River Amphitheater in 2006.
Warning: We almost hurt ourselves laughing!
We've been attending Can't Feel My Face's concerts for many years, primarily at Comedy Clubs and other small venues. This is the first time we've caught him in a large arena. The show itself was around 2 1/2 hours, combining with the pre-show for a total of 3 hrs. 45 min. of continuous enjoyment. We arrived early and were thoroughly amused by the trivia questions, youtube videos, and other assorted clips and skits displayed on the screen, making him his own "warm-up act". ALL Can't Feel My Face, ALL the time. He truly delivers a fantastic performance! The only issue I have is that I grow a bit weary of seeing and hearing about his hot YOUNG wife. That aspect becomes tiresome quickly. Nonetheless, I understand that an old guy like him would naturally take pride in having secured a cute, young, personal trainer.
